Abstract

141473This study aims to determine the preservation of the culture of Tari Panah. The formulation of the proposed problem, how the role of the community in the preservation of Tari Panah, how the role of government in the preservation of Tari Panah, how the preservation of Tari Panah to be an attraction for tourist. In this research using qualitative methods with observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Processing of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion in the analysis using SWOT analysis. The result show that the community plays an important role in preserving the Tari Panah, as well as the role of the government because the government plays a role in facilitating Tari Panah such as costumes, audio and equipment for Tari Panah. To preserve the Tari Panah is required dance studio in the villages of Kei Islands Southeast Maluku for future generations to learn the culture of Tari Panah and also other dances. And also for tourist to watch Tari Panah anytime.
