Abstract
Pararawen nature reserve is protected forest located in lemo village teweh central district, north barito regency, central borneo. This nature reserve is a tropical rainforest with nature codition as a nature tourism, this place also has beautiful waterfall, as a source of springs for local society. Role of society is also affected to make sustainability and tourism develope. Tourism development strategy is also needed to promote tourism in Pararawen Nature Reserve. This research is a quantitative research method. Data collection techniques is from the interview and questionnaries with the main data source of management and supervision of protected areas of pararawen proteted forest by Dinas KPHK and BKSD, head of DISBUDPARPORA, nature community, society of north barito. Improvement of promotion, conservation, and development strategy and the importance of the role of various parties of government, society, and private sector to promote pararwen nature reserve forest as a tourist destination or conservation and observation.
