Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that is famous for its natural beauty, and cultural arts . Many people utilize the natural wealth to be their source of livelihood. One of them in Kertayasa area that utilizes bamboo trees as bamboo handicrafts kertayasa, handicrafts that can be hereditary and needs to be preserved. Looking at the potential in Kertayasa Village, the authors are interested to take a research entitled "Pengembangan Kerajinan Bambu Sebagai Upaya Pelestarian Budaya Kertayasa Mandiraja Di Banjarnegara Jawa Tengah". This research method using descriptive qualitative method where the research method that only explains describes research variables. Kertayasa bamboo handicraft has its own uniqueness and make excellent products in Banjarnegara Regency. In the development of bamboo handicrafts Kertayasa community has come to support because the community around Kertayasa already participate preserving bamboo crafts Kertayasa.
