Abstract

Lampung Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has a very promising tourism potential. This study aims to determine the role of society and the role of government in the development of beach sebalang as a tourist attraction in southern Lampung. Beach sebalang is one of the beaches that become tourist destinations if located in southern Lampung, which has its own charm, with white sandy beach and blue water is interesting here is there is a tree in the middle of the shallow sea which is the natural foreground as a photo object the tourists who visit. Constraints that hamper the development of beach sebalang that is the company around the coast, so for permission reclamation and add facilities appropriate for the tourists is very hampered, hence the development of beach sebalang from year to year still same. And another constraint is the status of land ownership that is around the beach is owned by individuals.
