Abstract

Lemuktan Island Beach is one of the attractions of the beach wizard that has different characteristics from the existing beaches in West Kalimantan. Lemukutan Island Beach is a potential beach to be the main tourist attraction in Bengkayang Regency.This study aims to determine the role of society and the role of government in the development of Lemukutan Island Beach as a tourist attraction in Bengkayang Regency. The research method used in this research is qualitative research method, this study aims to determine the role of society and the role of government in the development of Lemukutan Island Beach as a tourist attraction in Bengkayang Regency. The role of the community in the development of the coast of lemukutan island has not been maximal, because the level of public knowledge about tourism is still very low. The role of the government is limited to doing promotion because the island is still categorized lemukutan new tourist attraction.
