Abstract

Rammang-Rammang is the name of a karst region located in Maros and Pangkep Regencies in South Sulawesi Province. The Rammang-Rammang site covers 45,000 hectares (450 km2), making it the second largest in the world, Afer Shilin in China. It's written on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This research aims to find out the strategy of development of Rammangrammang tourism object and the role of government and society in developing tourist object of Rammang-rammang This research method is qualitative. Data collection by way of work, structured interview, documentation and triangulation and its analysis with SWOT analysis The results of this study, the Manager has several strategies to develop Rammang-rammang one of them is not to make sporadic changes in the location of the object so as not to change keasrian and naturalness and do not disturb the existing habitat. the government played a role in promoting Ramanng-rammang,and the community played a role in the management of the Rammang-rammang.
