Abstract
Tourism activities in addition to increasing social economic activities will also improve the welfare of the community. On the basis of that consideration, Indonesia is currently developing the world of tourism very rapidly, one of which is the management in the tourist attraction itself. In Kabupaten Temanggung, Central Java, there is one tourist attraction that has the potential to be developed namely Papringan Market. The method used by researchers in this research is qualitative method. In collecting data required by the author using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data that the author has obtained is then analyzed using SWOT analysis. The result of data analysis that has been done, obtained some strategy that can be used for management of Papringan Market. One of them is to build some supporting facilities in the tourist attraction, signposts to the tourist attraction, and organize the community to participate in the management of Papringan Market. In the management effort that will be done of course the role of the government and the community is necessary for the Market Papringan be a leading tourist in Temanggung District.
