Abstract

Kampung Kapitan is one of the tourist destinations in the unique Palembang regency with tourism potential not only in nature but also the culture and local wisdom of the people that deserve to be developed as a Cultural-based Ecotourism destination in Palembang Regency. The author finds answers from all the problem formulations in this scientific article by using descriptive qualitative methods and by collecting data in the form of observations, questionnaires, interviews and documentation, while data processing uses data reduction, display data, verification and triangulation. From the results of the research using the method above, it is known that the the tourism development strategy is already in the middle stage and the role of the community is also very good for the development of Kampung Kapitan tourism. Research conducted on Kampung Kapitan in June 2018
