Abstract
Pegon is the traditional clothes of sasak tribe used by men when there are the sasak tribe ceremony such as Nyongkolan, Mesejati, Selabar and the other ceremonies. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive techniques. This methods describes the tourism component, the potensial or funtions of the traditional clothes of Pegon and community effort to preserve the traditional clothes of Pegon in central Lombok. The result of this research indicate that (1) the traditional clothes of pegon custom accessories include headband namely capuk or sapuk made from a piece of woven tranguler shape isosceles and belt namely leang atau dodot used the songket songket with motive of gold thread as couple of pegon it’s use not as a belt but more function as a accent. Leang atau dodot function to slip the Keris, Keris with the big size usually slipt behind and for akeris with the small sice usually slipt in front. As the subordinate the mans usually used wiron or cute.(2) community involvemen in a traditional event such as nyongkolan, begawe,sejati, selabar and the other ceremonies it’s one of the participation to keep precerve of traditional clothes of Pegon the sasak tribe of central Lombok
