Abstract

Embung Tirtomulyo has good potential to be developed, namely the view of Mount Merapi and the coolness of the air. Embung Tirtomulyo is located in the village of Tegalmulyo, Kemalang, Klaten, Central Java. It is necessary to develop Embung Tirtomulyo tourism objects while paying attention to the carrying capacity needed by tourists such as facilities, services, access, promotions and so on. Especially accessibility to get to Embung Tirtomulyo. The role of the community is very important for the management and development of Embung Tirtomulyo. The community can improve the economy by utilizing business opportunities in the form of trading food and beverages or local food processed from durian. The role of the government is no less important in developing Embung Tirtomulyo. The government and managers need to work directly together in the process of tourism activities. The government also has a role in providing socialization to the people who participate in the management of Embung Tirtomulyo
