Abstract

Argomulyo tourism village is one of the tourist village in Bantul regency. This study aims to analyze efforts in the development of Argomulyo Tourism Village in increasing tourist visits and community participation in the development of Argomulyo Village and to know the obstacles in the development of tourist villages in increasing tourist visits. The method used in this research is qualitative. The results showed that in the development efforts undertaken by managers to increase tourist visits is to develop the potential of existing tourist attraction into a variety of tourist attractions and package it into tour packages. The role of Argomulyo Village community in developing Argomulyo Tourism Village is in the management of tourist village and the utilization of business opportunity to get profit. The strategy used for the development of the Argomulyo Village tourism potential is to synergize the role of the community and the government in terms of the development of all potentials in Argomulyo Tourism Village.
