Abstract

Tourism is one of the development sectors and plays an important role in the development of Indonesia. Indonesia is known for its enchanting nature. Nature tourism is a form of tourism activity that utilizes the potential of natural resources, both in natural conditions and after cultivation, get knowledge and experience and foster inspiration and love for nature, one of which is on Sepikul Mountain. Sepikul Mountain has natural potential that is still natural and can be developed. The problem discussed in this research is how the role of government and society in developing the Sepikul Mountain. This study uses a type of qualitative research. At present Sepikul Mountain is managed by youth clubs and communities around the village of Tiyaran. The efforts made by the manager to develop Mount Sepikul are one of them by adding spots to take pictures and maintain environmental cleanliness by mutual cooperation every Sunday. The role of the government in developing Mount Sepikul by supporting what the managers have done and promoting in a joint event held in Solo Raya.
