Abstract

Bogor Botanical Gardens become one of the favorite destinations in Bogor for tourists who love education, history and plants. In addition to the already very good road access and the location of the Bogor Botanical Gardens right in the middle of the city of Bogor, the Bogor Botanical Gardens are excellent in the city of Bogor. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques with observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentary and triangulation. The formulation of the problems in the Bogor Botanical Gardens, namely the development strategy of becoming an attractive tourist destination and attracting tourists, is good, seen from the many satisfied tourists visiting the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The role of the community in developing tourism potential in the Bogor Botanical Gardens is good, this is because people have benefited from the existence of tourism activities in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The role of the government in developing tourism potential in the Bogor Botanical Gardens has been very good, this is because the Bogor Botanical Gardens are already under government leadership managed by LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences). The Bogor Botanical Gardens have many competitors, therefore the Bogor Botanical Gardens must increase promotion with social media, websites, and cooperate with tour and travel. Also add to the tourist attractions in the Bogor Botanical Gardens in order to be able to compete with other tourist attractions.
