Abstract

Umbul Ponggok is a water tourism destination located in Klaten Regency, Central Java, known for its crystal-clear spring water and unique underwater activities. This study aims to analyze the tourism attraction of Umbul Ponggok in terms of beauty, uniqueness, and the values it offers to visitors. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the beauty of Umbul Ponggok lies in its clear water and natural underwater scenery. Its uniqueness is characterized by creative underwater photography supported by various props, offering visitors a distinct and memorable experience. Furthermore, the destination holds educational, social, cultural, economic, and environmental values that provide significant benefits to the surrounding community. The study concludes that Umbul Ponggok has strong potential as a sustainable tourism destination through community-based management and environmental conservation.
