Abstract

Glagah Beach utilizes Instagram social media through the @pantaiglagahindah account to increase reach to attract the attention of tourists. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Instagram social media on tourists' interest in visiting Glagah Beach. This research method is statistical with a simple linear regression analysis model. The result is that 100 samples have characteristics according to gender, age, education, occupation, regional origin, Instagram users, and frequency of use. Then, the data instruments were tested using proven validity and reliability tests. Next, the Classical Assumption is used, to determine the normality of the data using Kolmogorov Smirnov, linearity using Anova, and heteroscedasticity using Glejser as a regression prerequisite. The regression results prove that the regression equation Y = 10,225 + 0.537X which proves the influence of X on Y with a significance of 0.001 < 0.05. Hypothesis testing through the hypothesis t test by looking at the calculated t value 8.876 > t table 1.984 and answering the hypothesis, namely H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The coefficient of determination has a value of 0.44 (44.6%) which means that X explains Y by 44.6%. The conclusion is that variable Instagram has a significant and positive effect on Tourists' Interest in Visiting Glagah Beach.
