Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of tourism product diversification carried out in Tebing Breksi and the strategy for developing new attractions to increase the number of tourist visits. The background of this study is based on the increasing competition between tourist destinations that requires managers to continue to innovate in order to remain competitive and attract repeat visits. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of field observations and in-depth interviews with managers, MSME actors, and tourists. The results of the study show that Tebing Breksi has diversified its attractions by adding facilities such as an amphitheater, garden space, tourist jeep, camping area, and Edu Park (mini zoo). These attractions are considered capable of adding variety to the tourism experience, especially for student and family tourists. In addition, the development strategy carried out includes a plan to build an agro park as an educational facility, rent traditional clothes, and hold regular art performances. This product diversification does not eliminate the main character of Tebing Breksi as a natural and cultural tourism, but rather strengthens its selling value through a cultural and educational approach. However, the results of the interview also revealed challenges, such as a decrease in the number of tourist visits and supporting facilities that still need to be improved. For that, a strategy is needed to carry out promotions carried out by the Tebing Breksi management so that the positive impact of tourism product diversification can be felt more evenly, both for visitors and the surrounding community.
