Abstract

Jogja International Travel Mart (JITM) is a high-caliber forum where the city of Jogjakarta and surrounding providers can meet major buyers of the international travel industry. Providers and buyers specifically chosen by the JITM committee, combined with highly professional organizations, make JITM the highlight of the year of travel - season opener and important events in its own right. Liaison Officer (LO) is used to achieve the best utilization of resources or service work from one organization to another. Liaison Officer (LO) in Jogja International Travel Mart activities has the task of assisting buyers as a liaison to communicate with sellers and also as referrer buyers to visit each booth and also explain what products are sold in each booth. Methods in this study using a qualitative approach. With the aim to reveal the existing data and describe and interpret something what danya. the author also studied some books as reference in accordance with the title and also the problems contained in the scientific work. The greatest difficulty of becoming an LO is where a LO must explain the state of an event or an ongoing event. Why is that? because when we will explain the real situation, then it could be will provide negative information which will damage the image of the event or event that is in progress. To be able to work as an LO then the ability possessed is to be able to communicate well, able to speak foreign language ie English and language used by guests and tourists concerned. It should also have a friendly, pleasant, sociable and disciplined manner. In carrying out its duties a Liaison Officer (LO) in Jogja International Travel Mart (JITM) has an obstacle in which guests or buyers sometimes just want to visit the booth or booth they want, but an LO has an obligation to succeed JITM event by bringing buyer at least visited 50 booths or booths in the JITM event. In the event JITM event a LO also many who feel difficult to handle buyers, such as buyers who only want to visit the stand they want, but a LO in demand to be able to bring the Buyer at least visit the 50 booths in the event. LO should also be able to give understanding to the buyer when it's time to visit another stand when the buyer still want to be in the previous stand.
