Abstract

Dolo Waterfall is one of the natural tourist destinations that has its own exoticism in Kediri Regency, East Java. This waterfall is located on the eastern slope of Mount Wilis (2,850 meters), which has a height of 125 meters and 1800 meters above sea level (asl). Dolo waterfall is 4 meters from Irenggolo waterfall which is bordered by many trees and forests, which is also located in the Besuki area. The water discharge that the waterfall pours out is not too heavy, but the air temperature is very cold. The water spill that falls from above is divided into three parts, starting from the highest part of about 90 meters and below about 2-5 meters. Dolo waterfall is located in a mountainous area, so in addition to the cold air temperature, often the area around the waterfall and access to it is covered by fog, the facilities at this tourist location are also said to still have to be added to add to the attraction of visitors. This Dolo Waterfall tourist destination also has regulations to regulate travel activities in this tourist destination. Service to tourists is also very well done in this tourist destination so that it adds its own value to the Dolo Waterfall tourist destination. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Dolo Waterfall as a natural tourist destination during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kediri, East Java. The research method used in this study is qualitative with data sources obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation and SWOT analysis. The data processing technique used in this research is data presentation reduction, leveraging, and triangulation techniques. Based on research, the Dolo Waterfall tourist area has tremendous potential which can be a special attraction for tourists to know that it needs support from several elements such as the government, managers, and local communities to take part in preserving the natural tourism of Dolo Waterfall.
