Abstract

Pulau Gede is a small uninhabited island located in the waters of Java Sea which is administratively wilayang Rembang regency. This research wants to know the strategy undertaken by the Office of Culture and tourism Rembang, Central Java in conducting or marketing strategy of tourism object of Pulau Gede to increase visit travelers in Rembang, Central Java. This research uses qualitative research methods and uses data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documents. Data processing techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Then the data in the analysis using SWOT Analysis. Rembang Government has a general marketing strategy for tourism destinations of Pulau Gede in order to increase the number of tourists visit which is increasing the promotion oftourism products, increasing the comfort of tourism area, arranging the management of the big island, the Government participates in the management of Pulau Gede, around, hold public and sustainabletransportation. Community participation to manage the tour of Pulau Gede in Rembang Central Java as a voluntary manager.
