Abstract

Purworejo Regency has a lot of tourism potential, the potential of historical, artificial, or natural tourism. One of the natural attractions in Purworejo is Curug, which in Indonesian means Waterfall. Curug Gunung Putri is a waterfall that is currently developing, and is an object of this research. This research aims to determine the potential and development efforts of Curug Gunung Putri. The method that is used for data collection is a qualitative research method, that is done by observation, interviews, and questionnaires with respondents the ones who visit the Curug Gunung Putri. The results of the study can be concluded that Curug Gunung Putri has a lot of tourism potentials, such as the waterfall, natural and beautiful scenery, and cool air. This is what makes tourists feel happy to visit this waterfall. The strategies for Curug Gunung Putri development are by improving or fixing the access, adding new tourist attractions, and improve promotion.
