Abstract

This research aims to collect data through qualitative methods as well as SWOT analysis to see the preservation efforts of “7 jajanan pasar untuk Puasa Weton” especially in this era of adaptation of new normal. “7 jajanan pasar untuk Puasa Weton” are 7 snacks that are always served when breaking the fast after undergoing Weton Fasting (Puasa Weton), which is a fast carried out by someone to commemorate his birthday according to Weton (Javanese date). The 7 snacks in question are wajik, jadah, nagasari, apem, combro, lemet and cemplon, these snacks are snacks made from rice, glutinous rice and cassava. Kotagede Market is one of the famous traditional markets in Yogyakarta and has existed since ancient times. This market sells many market snacks including 7 snacks for Puasa Weton. Kotagede Market can be one of the markets that can be a place to preserve 7 snacks for “Puasa Weton”.
