Abstract

Ombilin Coal Mining Heritage Of Sawahlunto (OCMHS) is the old town area of the former Dutch colonial heritage which is located in the middle of Sawahlunto City. Dutch heritage buildings that add to the impression of the old city are a typical sight of Sawahlunto City which can be felt by tourists when they arrive here. Ombilin Coal Mining Heritage Of Sawahlunto (OCMHS) is a world heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO at the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee meeting in Baku City, Azerbaijan on Saturday 6 July 2019. The process to make Sawahlunto City a world heritage began in 2015 in the past, by collecting various necessary data, compiling documents and collecting other materials intensively involving experts from within and outside the country. The Ombilin Coal Mining Heritage Of Sawahlunto (OCMHS) area offers a unique view for tourists to enjoy. Spoil the eyes with old buildings that are still maintained their authenticity. The buildings that witnessed the Dutch colonial occupation in the past add to the unique impression of the area. This study uses qualitative research with data collection techniques obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. In order to obtain appropriate data, data triangulation techniques are used, while for data analysis using SWOT analysis
