Abstract

Tourism in general, measures the level of tourism success in the multiplication of the number of visits, length of stay and the amount of spending from tourists, this is known as divisa. Foreign exchange is generated by foreign tourists, with the presence of foreign tourists becoming income for the country. Tourist spending is one of the important elements in assessing the success of tourism performance. Domestic tourists in general do not generate foreign exchange, but domestic tourists play an important role in economic equality and revive the economy during pandemics, economic crises and others. In this study, this research was conducted in the Malioboro area, Yogyakarta city, because the favorite tourist spots are always crowded and have complete tourism products. In this study, this research conducted research on the analysis of the spending patterns of domestic tourists in the Malioboro area using a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary and secondary data collection through observation, questionnaires, observation and documentation.
